HISTORY In Chinese medicine, the left side of the body is considered feminine, and the right side masculine. Ancient practices such as Qigong and Tai chi were designed to balance the brain and body to synchronise the Yin and Yang qualities, to keep them in balance. One of the tablets (Yin) is Shungite. The other one (Yang) is made of Steatite (soapstone), Jade or Charoite. Shungite is Yin energy so is held in the left hand. The other is Yang energy and is held in the right hand. We test each piece for its authenticity and can therefore GUARANTEE that it is genuine. As Shungite has such a high carbon content you may find that you get some black deposits on your skin when handling it. Don’t worry, this is normal, and the residue is completely harmless and can be easily removed. We recommend that as soon as you receive your Shungite, use a soft damp cloth to remove any loose dust. To keep your Shungite Product looking in top condition all you need to do is wipe with a soft damp cloth.
